Greece on the edge

Things are getting so bad in Greece that the BBC reports parents are being forced to give up their children. Parents are now approaching charities and churches to take care of their kids while they sort their finances out.

Things are going to get a lot worse in Greece . The outlook for Europe looks grimmer as ratings agency Standard & Poor's slashes the ratings of not only France but also Cyprus, Italy, Portugal, Spain Austria, Malta, Slovakia, and Slovenia. All this will flow through to Greece.

The Financial Times reports that negotiations between Greece and its creditors have broken down and that Greece isn't even close to a restructuring deal. The FT reports: "Unless the restructuring terms are completed in a matter or days, the deal is unlikely to be finalised in time and international lenders would have to quickly shell out billions of euros in additional aid or Athens would default on the payment."

The witching hour is still a few weeks away, till March 20 to be exact, but time is running out. Helia Ebrahimi at The Telegraph says that time is running out and that Greece is likely to become the first European country to go bankrupt which will devastate more families and communities there.
