Prospective Republican candidate for President, Donald Trump, is being sued.
We read in the San Francisco Chronicle that plaintiffs claim his Trump University real estate course is a scam. The $1500 course has not been accredited and offers no degree. Instead, it promises to impart "insider" knowledge and give students the chance to be "my next apprentice." But now a few of the people who took the course say it was essentially an "infomercial," pushing them to spend $35,000 for the "Trump gold elite" course.
As Doug Heller, who runs the non-profit Consumer Watchdog in Santa Monica says: "What is so unique about Trump is how completely interwoven everything he does with his own money-making schemes. You almost don't know if it's a TV show or a marketing gig or a presidential run."
You would have to ask who would be silly enough to waste their money on courses like that. Or for that matter, waste their vote.
