Anti-corruption body slams major export countries

Transparency International has condemned some of the world's biggest exporters for failing to tackle bribery corruption.

In its latest report, the anti-corruption body said some of the world's worst examples included Australia, Canada, Austria, Ireland, Israel, New Zealand and South Africa. Britain didn't come out much better, receiving only a moderate rating.

The United States, Germany, Norway and Switzerland got big ticks. But that's only four out of 36 nations.

The alarming part about this report is that it's been a decade since the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention came into force. The findings suggest little progress has been made. And much of that is due to a lack of will by political leaders.
