BAE and Mugabe

Only a few weeks ago, I did a blog entry on how the BAE-Saudi bribery scandal was getting worse.

Just how much worse? Well, now we have the Financial Times reporting linking the armaments maker to a company linked to a Zimbabwean arms trader connected to Zimbabwe's despot Robert Mugabelinks.

The FT says this raises questions about BAE's dealings with outside intermediaries who sometimes act as brokers in arms deals.

Good point, but it raises even more serious questions about this company's ethical standards.
