Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi will be on trial this week on charges of paying a $600,000 bribe to David Mills, his former British tax adviser. That's after they overturned the law that he had pushed through Parliament last year, giving himself immunity from prosecution.
But he's not giving up. His party plans to rush through legislation to give him immunity again. And Berlusconi himself has vowed to strangle writers who write books or who make films about the mafia. Apparently that sullies Italy's reputation. Unlike him of course.
