American culture never ceases to amaze me, let me understand this for a moment. At the moment, there is an argument in the US Supreme Court about Referendum 71 which seeks to nullify gay marriage law. Opponents of gay marriage say that it threatens the family and institution of marriage. Some have even claimed gays are more likely to be pedophiles and that allowing them to wed would cause young people to become homosexual.
And yet Larry King has been married eight times , Elizabeth Taylor is reportedly about to hitch up to her ninth husband , Britney Spears' marriage was annulled after 55 hours Jesse James is screwing anything that moves as is Tiger Woods.
These people treat marriage like it's a disposable commodity. And they say gay unions are threatening the institution of marriage? Surely with the state of the US economy and the growing government interference in markets, the Supreme Court has more important issues on its plate.
