Bus airlines: the future of flying

Back in July, I did a blog entry on Ryanair charging passengers for using the toilet on the plane. The question at the time was whether other airlines would head in that direction.

Indeed, the pee fee could be just the beginning with this report that aircraft will be redesigned to look more like a bus with passengers crammed together facing each other. According to proponents of the redesign, you can can 50% more passengers in and the ticket for the privilege of flying will be 30% cheaper.

So what's next? I suspect we soon will see airlines with standing room only, or maybe some bar stools at the back.

Welcome to the future of flying.
