Conrad Black's Boardroom: The Chronicles of Greed
Conrad Black, like his hero Napoleon is facing his Waterloo with the US District Judge Amy St. Eve who will preside over Black's fraud trial next year, indicating she might run criminal background checks of potential jurors, according to a news report.

No surprises then that newspaper publisher Hollinger wants to put a million miles between itself and the legal problems associated with Black by seeking to change its name to Sun-Times Media Group Inc.

Hollinger wants to end the gravy train that had operated under Black. One where former director Henry Kissinger was paid $100,000, Richard Burt, a former U.S. ambassador to Germany got $143,000, former Illinois governorlinks James R. Thompson cleaned up with $165,000 and Washington superhawk Richard Perle got $71,000.

With revelations like that, Black's trial should turn out to be an absolute corker. With those sort of fees being paid, is it any wonder that Hollinger's board turned a blind eye to the pilfering going on under their noses?
