Conrad Black's last-ditch appeal

This is the last roll of the dice for Conrad black. He has begun his appeal against the six and half year sentence for fraud and obstruction of justice with his lawyers telling the appeal judges that their client didn't get a fair trial.

Still, the chance of a successful appeal don't look that flash. One of the judges, Richard Posner, seems pretty underwhelmed by the arguments from Black's attorney, Andrew Frey, according to the Chicago Tribune.

As Canada's National Post points out, this is Black's last-ditch attempt. If he loses this, he'll have to serve most of that sentence.
