Court blow for BAE and British Government

Bad news for the British Government's attempt to cover up questions about BAE bribes to the Saudi Arabian government with two anti-arms trade groups, Campaign Against Arms Trade and The Corner House winning a court battle over last year's decision by the Serious Fraud Office to end its investigations into BAE's Saudi contracts. More from The Independent.

This is a setback for British Prime Minister Gordon Brown who had been hoping to draw a line in the sand and put away the unsavoury stuff associated with his predecessor Tony Blair. That's the same government that sent troopslinks in to Iraq to fight for democracy while colluding with bribes to the Saudi Arabian regime.

It's also a blow for BAE which, as I pointed out in a blog entry last week, is facing inquiries in the US and questions about its fund allocations.
