First we had reports from investigative blogger Gerald Posner reports that Michael Jackson’s autopsy photos are being shopped around. If it’s true, the pics would get a good price. According to this report, they could be worth $1 million.
All this coincides with the release of the 90 minute Michael Jackson documentary This Is It which, according to this report, fetched $20 million on the first day of its release. And Forbes has reported that Jackson has made $90 million in the four months since his death, based on estimated royalties from album sales, radio play, rights to his name and likeness and royalties from his stake in the Sony/ATV music catalog.
Is it any wonder then that Jackson’s dad Joe has told US TV that Michael Jackson is “worth more dead than he was alive”. Mind you, after making the gaffe, he immediately started talking about he was often in tears when he thinks of his son’s demise.
All we can say is that at least he is suffering in comfort.
