In the lead-up to tomorrow's vote, the subject of green jobs has been getting prominence with Barack Obama and John McCain promising millions of green jobs. Now CFO.com reports of a study showing that massive investment in green jobs will save both the US economy and the planet.
But will it? How many jobs would actually be created in the US, and how many overseas in for example the construction of wind turbines and other pieces of equipment? And what about skills? Is there a big enough skills base for green jobs. I raise some of these issues in my Management Line blog.
