The world's financial markets have been so badly hit. So who's got the cash? Drug czars. It's not surprising to read this report in the Observer alleging that the drug industry had the kept the bank industry going.
It happened because the banks had stopped trusting each other and wouldn't lend money to one another. As a result, they turned to the drug industry.
International drug barons and cartels are raking in hundreds of millions of dollars every year. Thanks to the banks and the meltdown of markets, they have found a way to launder their money.
