Edmondson: white lie, pink slip

So David Edmondson, who admitted to lying about his academic credentials, has quit as RadioShack chief executive.

CV fraud is not uncommon.

Interestingly, his resignation announcement did not mention the lie.

Lying about your resumelinks and there are plenty of examples of other business leaders who have been caught out doing the same thing. OK, this sort of stuff happens lower down the food chain too but it becomes a governance problem for the company when someone at the top does it.

Still, Edmondson's days were numbered because the company was already in trouble.
