An electronic cigarette may be an alternative to real tobacco, but it won't be an alternative to grass California will be looking at legalizing. It will be the real thing. This year I have looked at how California might be forced to legalize marijuana because of its financial crisis.

Marijuana is a great cash crop and dope sales could get more revenue in through the door with more tax being collected. And with unemployment in California to hit 12.7% and stay there for the next two years, we can expect more people will be smoking dope. They'll have nothing else to do. And that might mean more money for the cash strapped California government.
Already, there are signs that marijuana might become legal over there to help the state get out of its financial hole. In July, Oakland introduced a cannabis tax and various California cities are opening medical marijuana clinics.
Now the Los Angeles Times reports that it's likely to go to a poll next year after supporters of legalization obtained more than enough signatures on a petition.
But then California is one very strange place. As blogger Ethan Epstein asks, why does the state love marijuana and hate tobacco. While California is moving to legalize marijuana, cigarette smoking has been banned in streets. As if dope smoking is any healthier. Go figure.
Is this wise to llegalize marijauna?
If you legalize marijauna …it will lose its value.
