Free Enterprise Fund and climate change

The Free Enterprise Fund has never been a big fan of tree huggers and progressives but this time it's gone too far. Its head in the sand mentality is just too bizarre.

It has now asked the Securities and Exchange Commission to crack down on "companies against making false and misleading statements concerning global warming." Apparently companies that are taking a stand on this issue are putting out potentially false and misleading statements. According to the twisted logic here, some scientists question whether global warming is happening. Therefore the companies' statements are misleading.

Go figure!

As Liz Moyer at Forbes points out, the fund's own investments have not been tracking that well. Down 5.4% for the year to date. Can't say they're in touch with the market.
