On the face of it, the news , the decision of the G8 leading industrial countries to try and limit global warming to just 2C (3.6F) above pre-industrial levels by 2050 is heartening. But look between the lines and you'll see it's nothing to get excited about.
First, we don't know how they will do it.
Secondly and most importantly, it's useless without high emitting countries like China and India coming on board. As The Telegraph reports, they have refused to sign up claiming the deal slows down their economic growth.
In other words, the world's richest nations have again failed to acknowledge that developing nations need to drag themselves out of poverty.
Unless we get a deal that's truly global, it's not going to work. That's not a good sign for Copenhagen.

Well we should just cut out all deals with China and India until they sign the deal. They are like cockroaches, and cant seem to stop reproducing.. Not only they are killing us with their 10% of smog (which travels over the Pacific Ocean to California), but they are dirty too..
