Global corruption on the rise

With the the growth of the prosecutions under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), something I have talekd about here and here, you would think people would have learned.
Not according to a new survey from Ernst & Young which shows that one in four executives around the world has experienced at least one incident of bribery or corruption in the last two years and 23 per cent admitted their organisation had been approached to pay a bribe in order to retain or win business during the same time period.
Remarkably, 84 per cent of all respondents claimed to know little to nothing about the FCPA.
Given the way prosecutions under the FCPA are on the increase, it's a worry. And a warning sign for business.
