corporate governance
by leon on September 24, 2008

More than two years ago, I did a blog entry on how climate change would turn into a major corporate governance issue.
Now it's heading that way with pressure on the Securities and Exchange Commission to get companies to assess their climate risk; analyze whether that risk is likely to have a material impact on them, and then disclose it to the public. More details of that and its legal implications at Law.com.
And this is just the beginning. These changes will fuel more climate-linked litigation.
