Sarah Palin seems to have tickets on herself. Iowa Republicans who wanted to entice her to one of their banquets as a guest speaker are now wincing after discovering she is charging them $100,000 for the privilege of her appearance.
As Politico.com reports, Iowa Republicans don't usually shell out money for something that many politicians would see as a privilege, the chance to speak to a room full of true believers who often run precincts and who can be instrumental to a presidential candidate's success. Or even a prospective 2012 Republican vice presidential candidate.
The $100,000 fee comes on top of the $1.25 million retainer Palin received for her book of memoirs Going Rough which hits the book stores next month.
There are two things we can conclude from this. The first is never stand between Sarah Palin and a bag of money. The second is that she has a very inflated sense of her importance.
