Is there no end to the strange stories about Conrad Black?
Unable to leave the United States, the convicted felon has taken to signing copies of his new book in Toronto.
All done using digital and magnetic imaging technology, reports the Globe and Mail. Using a magnetic stylus, the so-called Long Pen, he wrote his name and accompanying messages on an electronic writing tablet, pushed "send," and voila, his name appears in real ink on a copy of the book in Toronto.
The use of technology is not without its irony. Black's book is about Nixon and Nixon was brought undone by tapes, Black by a video recording of him removing boxes from his office.
Still, a fine time to be had by all, reports the National Post. As the National Post points out, that includes the blonde he was chatting up while his wife Barbara Amiel was in ear shot.
Something to pass the time while he awaits sentencing for fraud and obstruction of justice on November 30.
