With Delta Air Line shareholders to vote in September on the prospective merger with Northwest Airlines, creating America's biggest airline, concerns are being raised about how anti-competitive the deal will be.

The American Antitrust Institute says put out a paper saying the merger would be disastrous all round as it would turn the merging parties into a monster, resulting in reduced seat availability, more expensive fares and service quality that's even worse than now.
