Earlier this year, I asked the question: are accountants recession-proof?
As I pointed out at the time, accounting firms tend to run very lean and the fees just keep coming and heading north. No surprises then that accountants and finance executives are among the best-placed to get through the US economic downturn, according to a Jobfox.com report.
According to Jobfox, accountants are in the box seat, occupying one of the professions in highest demand over a more than eight-month period dating from November 2007 through July 7, 2008.
