Earlier this week, the Appeals Court postponed his report date so that the court could consider his request for bail pending appeal.
The following day, the court denied Skilling's request for time which means he is expected to start his 24 years behind bars today.
The houston chronicle's Loren Steffy dropped into Waseca and reports that authorities there are looking forward to meeting him.
As the mayor told Steffy: "We do have a little bit of a buzz going about Mr. Skilling. He will be our most infamous inmate."
