Swine flu could kill millions

Swine flu could kill millions and throw the world's poorest countries into a state of anarchy, says a United Nations report leaked to the Observer.

According to the report, the only answer to the problem is for the rich countries to pay hundreds of millions of dollars to pay for vaccines and antiviral medicines.

Bloomberg reports that wealthy nations and development banks are being asked to donate to a $1.48 billion United Nations plan to help poor countries in light of this report.

The global security consequences of these revelations are enormous because it could unleash wars and massive turmoil.

But the question is whether the developed world will have enough funds. Since the global financial crisis, the coffers aren't nearly as full. Governments around the world are struggling with deficits and budgets running out of control. The results could be disastrous.
