What a year it's been! Some chief executives have done some seriously questionable things this year, from the fallout over stuff that's plainly illegal to the idiotic.
Portfolio.com presents the 10 dumbest CEO moves for 2007 and what a list it is.
It includes Whole Foods CEO John Mackey venting his spleen on Yahoo! Financial message boards under a pseudonym "Rahodeb", former World Bank chief Paul Wolfowitz doing some career planning for his girlfriend, Bear Stearns chief James Cayne taking to the golf course and focusing on his handicap while the firm's hedge funds were collapsing, and Stephen Schwarzman of Blackstone throwing a lavish $3 million birthday party for himself that Dennis Kozlowski would dream about.
It's a shameful list. And this was supposed to be one of the better years.
