The bottled water lie

An embarrassing week for pepsilinks after it was forced to admit that the H2O it puts into Aquafina comes from the same source as tap water. This follows the work of activist groups like Corporate Accountability.

Bottled water is the perfect symbol of our culture and comes a huge cost to the environment, a point I have explored in my Management Line blog.

Now the bottled water companies are fighting back and taking out full-page ads in The New York Times and the San Francisco Chronicle .

Bottled water companies always say they use processes like so-called reverse osmosis to strip out impurities. But the point is it's still water.
