But what sort of impact would it have on business? How will it change their interactions with lawmakers? restrictions on getting together in a suite at a ball game, or spending time on a corporate jet might make access more difficult.
W.P. Carey School's management Professor Gerry Keim says businesses will need to change their approach. Interviewed in the Knowledge@W.P. Carey series he says they need to better develop grass roots advocacy, much like the National Rife Association and farmers.
All up, he says, lobbyists will find ways to work around the new rules.
