Last week, I did a blog entry looking at whether Web 2.0 applications were vulnerable to hackers and cyber crooks.
That's what interested in a recent entry from the folks at Network Observations shedding light on the issue and suggesting ways for HR and IT staff to prevent abuse of social networking applications (that's assuming you can ever get HR and IT staff talking to each other).
Suggested methods include education, more intensive network monitoring and external network security. Although one suspects that taking those steps is just the beginning. It means a lot more focus and resources.
