Plenty of speculation at the moment that Google wants to buy Twitter. Or for that matter, Rupert Murdoch.
Twitter's co-founder Biz Stone has left the markets guessing, playing it both ways, claiming the company wants to retain its independence but talks to other parties all the time. It's an interesting space to watch because as PC World points out, Twitter could potentially provide the next stage of question-and-answer search engines, although you would have to clean up search results on Twitter now.
Add to that the speculation that even Rupert Murdoch is interested in buying Twitter.
Of course, it might in the end be neither Google nor Murdoch. That said, something's afoot and this is going to be an interesting space to watch.
