A better work/life balance does definitely lead to better ethical behavior. More than employees being satisfied, employees with control over their personal and professional lives seem to value their time differently. This pushes those employees to focus on the results at hand and achieve them. The managers then focus only on the results and reward only the results promoting ethical behavior and removing political undertones in the culture. The best work/life balance plan out there is the most extreme: Results-Only Work Environment. ROWE was created by CultureRx and has been very successfully implemented at Best Buy.

Work/life balance is key to employee engagement, productivity, and loyalty. More companies are becoming cognizant that their staff needs and wants assistance with their work/life balance.
